WWE Raw After WrestleMania 42 RECAP & REACTIONS | Is Oba Femi Being Wasted? The Bloodline Is BACKThe Raw after WrestleMania is supposed to be the hottest night of the year — so why does it feel like WWE may have already fumbled one of their biggest stars?Oba Femi just ended Brock Lesnar's career at WrestleMania 42. The man walked into T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as the hottest act in the company, the crowd chanting his name before he even touched the mic. And what did WWE give us? Three words — "The Ruler has arrived" — a mic drop, and he was gone. No promo about slaying The Beast. No direction. No hint at what's next. For a guy this red-hot, is that really enough? We're breaking down whether WWE is properly building Oba Femi into the megastar he clearly should be, or if they're leaving rockets on the launch pad. Then there's Roman Reigns — back with the title, back with the Usos, and back to the same Bloodline playbook. Roman stood in that ring and told Jimmy and Jey he wasn't asking them to serve him, just to stand with him as his blood. It was a softer, more humble Roman… but is it enough to make this feel fresh? And just when the reunion was taking shape, Jacob Fatu crashed the party — not to be Tribal Chief, but because he needs everything the Tribal Chief has. The shoe deals. The jets. A better life for his family. It was a compelling promo, but the question has to be asked: with Oba Femi standing right there, why are we going back down the Bloodline family drama road again? We also react to CM Punk's emotional promo, Cody Rhodes offering Punk a future title shot, Liv Morgan celebrating as the new Women's World Champion, the RHIYO tag match, Ethan Page's Raw debut, and Jacob Fatu's challenge for Backlash. The WrestleMania season is over. The real question is — where does Raw go from here?

Monday Night Raw completely reset the board last night. New number one contenders in Jacob Fatu, NXT Call-Ops, Sol Ruka, Joe Hendrick, Ethan Page, and Oba Femi retired the beast. So in essence, we've got a new dominant foe in WWE, and he is the ruler. And last night he showed up and said, I have arrived and walked back. Short but sweet. How did you feel about Oba Femi's appearance last night? We have L Fishi says Triple H still needs to be fired. Stop dragging out stuff like the Oba segment. Oh, you know, Triple H needs to be fired. I have called for his resignation a couple times, not gonna lie. But I think what he really needs is people to stop just being yes men. Everybody just tells him he his ideas are great and awesome and amazing. It's like, just stop that. Triple H, please get some people who will challenge you because that's what real leaders do. They don't just have people that will inflate their egos. But I will say this I'm of two minds of Oba Femi's appearance last night. I did definitely want more. I wanted to see Oba say something, celebrate. Just I don't know. Anything, anything, but he gave us just a wee little bit. But I also understand why he did. Because this might have been a straight up callback to Roman Reigns after he beat Undertaker WrestleMania 33, I believe, where he came out and was just like this is my yard now and walked to the back. So if this is leading, if this is leading to a Roman Oba encounter, Oba, you gonna kill me? Oh no. Oh no. Well then, okay, cool. I'm all for it. However, this is also Triple H, and I'm also remembering the times where he had people with so much momentum. Yeah, you broke your neck. So what? He just drew it out to the point that all momentum was gone. LA Knight, for example, should have won the money in the bank, like what, three money in the banks ago, and yet nothing, and yet nothing. The new day, my god, they had nuclear heat. And then they came back the next week and they were booed and booed. I was like, this is great, this is amazing. People actually hate them. And then the next week they did it again, and there were less boos, and then they did it again, and there were less booze, and then they did it again, and nobody cared. And by the time they won the tag team titles at WrestleMania, it was like, okay, cool. Same with Gunther. Gunther tapped out John Cena. Then he went and had a like a what a two-week build for AJ Styles retirement. And okay, fine. He did that. And then what? We took him off TV. We took him off. Why would we take him off TV? He was getting great reactions. There's no excuse. There was no excuse to lose the momentum of retiring AJ Styles, John Cena, and whatever other guy he retired. There's no excuse for the heat that the new day was getting just to just to do nothing with it. And now Oba Femi is not heat, but it's the applause, the cheers, the just like we want to see more of this guy. And what? If next week he comes out and does basically the same thing, that is going to be a disaster. We need something for Oba Femi to do right now. Whether or not the Brock Lesnar retirement was planned shouldn't matter. Should it matter? Because even if even if there was more Brock Oba story to tell, who cares? Who cares? Brock is now gone. You have writers on staff that you pay to write stories. And Oba needs a story right now. And I get it, it's easier said than done. Why don't you shut up, chop, and come up with something? And I tried. I usually do try because I do feel that's a lot of times people just complain and then I try to offer solutions. The only thing I could really think of, I have two possible solutions that doesn't involve the king in the of the ring. Because right now, everybody, myself included, thinks that Oba should go and win King of the Ring, go to SummerSlam and challenge Roman Reigns, much like Brock did when he first came up. Brock showed up, won the King of the Ring, and then went and fought The Rock, Roman's cousin, and SummerSlam, winning the title and cementing himself as a big freaking deal. So Oba does that. But what do we do with Oba in the meantime? We can't just wait. For one, the King of the Ring hasn't even been announced yet. And even when it does get announced, it's gonna be months away. So what can Oba do in the meantime? If you want some unsolicited ideas, WWE creative, all you the two solutions I have is one, you could always bring back another monster from the past. Have Braun Strowman come back. He's still affiliated with WWE because he has like this eating show. Just have him come back, and that could be one to two months facing Braun Strowman. Braun Strowman was the monster among men for a while. That's something for Oba to do, and then Oba can beat Braun, and Braun can go back to his food show or whatever the case may be. The second thing, very similar, but different a little bit. One time I saw a Batman the Animated series episode where they thought this one dude killed Batman. So all of Batman's rogue gallery were like, Man, I wanted to kill Batman. But since I can't, the next best thing is to kill the guy who killed Batman. So you can have some people, maybe like a Seamus, go up to Oba Femi and say, you know what? I never got a chance at Brock Lesnar, but I can get a chance at the guy who retired Brock Lesnar. Right there. Those two storylines alone can get you to the King of the Ring. Then the King of the Ring can get you to SummerSlam, and then we're off to the races. And we can even have a one-month feud between maybe Jacob Fatu and Obafemi. In that when Roman beats Jacob at Backlash, Jacob has to acknowledge Roman. And so Roman says, I'll face you, uh, Oba Femi, if you can beat Jacob Fatou. So that gets us all the way to SummerSlam. We gotta have something though. We gotta build this momentum that is Oba Femi. Do not repeat what we did with the New Day and what we did with Gunther after he retired, two out of three legends. Or we bring up Tony D'Angelo, who happens to be Oba Femi's Kryptonite, the only dude to actually beat Oba Femi twice in NXT. I hope, I hope we don't have him beat him a third time in WWE. But speaking of NXT, I got this NXT belt on my shoulder and you can win it. I'm giving away a belt this Saturday to celebrate my 20,000 subscribers. And I'm gonna give it away. And if you want to enter that contest, you still can. All you gotta do is comment below and be a subscriber to the channel. Bonus though, after I give away the belt, well, you're automatically entered into the 30,000 subscriber giveaway. And again, all you gotta do is subscribe and comment on videos because I'm giving it away, people. Free shipping, free everything. It's not a toy, it's a replica. All right, let's do some more hot takes. Salvo Savage says the bloodline has to stop. It's boring and been done for the last five years. I'll tell you what was boring to me and needed to stop Cody Rhodes' title reign. Even tonight, when when Cody went up to CM Punk, it was like, just name the place and time. It was kind of like, are we still glazing each other? Like when we went into WrestleMania, the go home show was Cody and CM Punk googly eyeing each other. And then we come out of WrestleMania and they're still googly eyeing each other. Get a room, you two. Hanako says, I'm so tired of the bloodline. Let me ask everybody this, and you're more than welcome to your opinion. Like, I'm not gonna crash out on you guys, like, oh, you don't agree with me? Like, you don't love the bloodline? I mean, you should, but let me ask you this since Roman and the bloodline fell out of power, what is really that you were able to sink your teeth in other than other than Obafemi and Drew McIntyre versus uh CM Punk? This is a serious question. I want everybody to answer it. So let's say you're just sick of the bloodline. What has happened since the bloodline that has been like you're like, yeah, I'm glad Roman's no longer champion because this is so much better. I love the vision. The vision is so much better, so fresh, so entertaining, anything. Um I'm not being facetious. I would love to know. All the bloodline haters, tell me what has really captivated you since Roman fell. AEW game, not gonna say your whole name, they should build up the toughness of JD McDonnen. He is hard as nails. I agree, I agree. And I hated that when he came back from his injury of pretty much bouncing his head off of the announce table, but then continued the match, even though he had a punctured lung. They should have they should have been hyping that guy up when he came back, but they didn't. Charles Yancey says, I don't like that they brought up Ethan Page just to make Javon lose. Yeah, you know, I hate to say this. You could have done everything the same if it had been Dragon Lee. And the reason why is like I get it, Ethan Page, he's new, let him win. But the reason why I'm more lean towards let Dragon Lee lose over Javon Evans is the fact that Javon and Ethan Page have a good rivalry from NXT that we could revisit. I think that them just having a match right now kind of sort of kind of downplays their former rivalry. So I would have rather it just been Dragon Lee. Plus, I think I'm more of a Javon fan than I am a Dragon Lee fan, so there's probably some bias in my opinion on this one, not gonna lie. Micah Alexander says Roman needs to add a stipulation that if Jacob loses, he will join the bloodline. I agree, absolutely. Another thing we need is multiple bloodline segments throughout the entire show. Like that is critical and crucial to the bloodline. If the bloodline are gonna do what Cody Rhodes does and only show up for the opening or the ending promo, then I actually will not want the bloodline around. I want it back how it was before, where there was literally, I would see the bloodline three to four times per episode, even if it was just backstage. But those backstage segments added so much to the show and it made it everything just so much more enjoyable. Kid Wilkes says, I believe we missed an opportunity to have JC Jane get called up from NXT, challenge Becky for the interconnect as a title, and win it. I wouldn't be surprised if she shows up on SmackDown on Friday. Zach D says, I don't hate the idea of the bloodline coming back into the fold, but I would rather they do something new and fresh than recycle old storylines that worked. Well, yeah, I don't want to see, I don't want to see Jey Uso and Roman Reigns going at it anymore. I'm I'm I'm over that. So if we just if if Jey Uso and Roman are the the main event of Survivor Series and a Hell in the Cell, then yeah, I'll be like, okay, yeah, bet they're done that. Let's let's do something new. And I'm okay with Jacob. I'm okay with Jacob, though, being the first challenger, and then he has to fall in line. Yes, I do agree. Let's not just rehash everything, but there is opportunity to put a twist on things. Heck, what if what if this is what makes Drew McIntyre into a good guy and he becomes a bloodline hunter once more? Dash I says punk is right about Roman. So many want him as champ, myself included, forget him wrestling at all on Raw. We're just gonna sit here and watch him talk, talk, talk. I'm okay with them talking if the talking is entertaining. When Roman and CM Punk were talk, talk, talking, that was entertaining, entertaining, entertaining, except for when they got jealous of each other. When Roman starts like just laying it in, that to me is way more entertaining than a pull apart brawl. Cam Nammy says the demon defeating Dom should have been the end of the feud to move Finn into the main event. You're right, however, I don't think that the demon should have been brought out just yet. Honestly, we should have had Dom win at Mania over Finn because of the numbers game. And then at Backlash, the demon appears because Finn had no friends because of everything he's done in Judgment Day, so he had to look inside himself and bring the demon out. That's the wasted story plot here that Finn was able to just bring the demon out on a whim. Like it should have been like he should have had to hit rock bottom to get the demon out. Then he beats Dominic Mysterio, then he goes to the main event. Frankie Baklava says the world heavyweight championship does not look good on Roman Reigns. There are wrestlers who just look better with certain titles. He's definitely a WWE championship guy. So hear this guy out. He's not saying that he doesn't deserve the world title, he just says he looks better with the the gold title. And I kind of agree with you there. It's like honestly, when Roman buried it so hard as the loser bracket title from like WrestleMania 40, like I've never gotten over that statement. And now that he is that champion, there's a part of me that's like, that's like, yeah, he needs the undisputed title, not the world championship. Carmichael says Braunbreaker's absence was felt. This version of him is gonna be much better. I hope so. I hope so. I'm still a Braunbreaker fan, but I'm not gonna lie. When he got when he lost to CM Punk the January 5th or 6th episode this year, I really lost pretty much faith in his push. I lost a lot of interest in Braunbreaker. I really, really was hyped up for him all last year. But yeah, right now, right now I'm just low interest. I could just see it's probably gonna have they're probably gonna have three matches, and Seth is gonna win the first one, and then Braun wins the next two or something like that. And it's just like, yeah, I hope they can get the momentum going. I like the guy, but it's just, you know, stop push, stop, push, stop, push. You gotta get the big wins. You gotta get the big wins. And if Oba Febmi would have lost to Brock Lesnar last night, and then let's just say he then goes on to face Roman Reigns and lose to Roman Reigns, and then they gotta rebuild him and stuff. I probably would have lost interest in Oba Febby too. There's something about like capitalizing on how hot a character is right now, and they didn't with Braun Breaker. And so, like, I want to, I want to believe, but it's gonna take me a minute. It's gonna take me a minute to get back to those levels of excitement. And I hope I do though, because I would love to see, love to see red hot Braun Breaker versus red hot obafebby one day. The Angry Protocol says Sol Ruka will be WWE women's champion in the next 12 months. I can see that. Program for damage says, how over is Sol Ruka been a long time fan since NXT, but the crowd tonight really responded. Yes, the crowd really did respond well to her. Nike fan says, I think the booking for the World Heavyweight Championship will go like this Roman to Gunther, Gunther to Oba. What do you think? Now, I think it's gonna be Roman to Oba, and then Gunther will challenge Oba and Oba will win. Tiz Mickey says that was a good raw. Not as good as last year's, but really good. And lol, I don't see a point in watching NXT anymore after Ethan Sol were called up, and next week Joe, all my favorites are on the main roster. You know what, though? This is just this is that is the uh the worst thing about being an NXT fan. That you will at one point lose all of your favorites to the main roster. I remember when when Trick, Oba, and Javon were called up. I was like, how is NXT gonna recover from that? And and they did really, really well. But I bet I bet when we get to SmackDown even more. I bet you got Ricky Saints, Ricky Saints and JC Jane. I bet they're on SmackDown now. It's OTW says, Don't see why the Street Prophets would return to help Seth. Don't see the connection really. There must be more than the tag titles. Honestly, I don't know if there has to be. Seth Rollins is like the the the the mastermind, the architect. And even even he admitted that he's the one that directed Oba at Brock Lesnar. He's not aligned with Oba Femi, but he kind of made that happen so Oba could keep Brock busy while Seth attacked attacked Paul Heyman. So for all we know, Seth called up the Street Profits and was like, why don't you guys just attack the vision? That'll get you some tag team gold. And so Seth might have just done the same thing. Directed directed the street profits. It helps the street profits. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Phenomenal Kelly says the former champ, main event Jay Uso became again sidekick to Roman. Well, better to be a sidekick to Roman than to Jimmy Uso. And that's no shade to Jimmy, but like Jimmy Uso literally reformed the the Usos as a tag team because little brother was losing so much. I had to get my butt off the couch and help out. That's kind of what he said. I love Jimmy Uso, but that's kind of what he said. So I'd rather be in Roman's shadow than Jimmy's. Catastrophe official says gonna be Liv and versus Rhea at Survivor Series based off of that little teaser from Raw. Actually, it's probably gonna be Knight of Champions when the top two champions go against each other for that really big belt, which is kind of weird if you think about it. If they do that before SummerSlam, we could have Rhea versus Liv Morgan and Roman versus Cody Rhodes. Like, that's kind of an interesting prospect for champion versus champion. Dinaj Dev says WWE just leveled up. Roman Reigns came out with this old theme, and the title that was once secondary has now become the main one. Absolute goosebumps. Main event fro says CM Punk looking like he needs to rest with those suitcases under his eyes. And Cody Rhodes looks like a modern day Terminator, was the OMG moment of the night. Yeah, he like had that black eye. Oh, devastating black eye. But honestly, I feel like of all the times that Cody Rhodes has been taken off TV for a week or two, this was the time to do it. He should be selling the punt kick. You know, the punt kick that's been banned and we haven't really seen since what, 2020? Like, of all the times Cody Rhodes has gotten beat up by a chair before and would take two weeks off. But the punt kick he doesn't sell, he has that devastating eye. Like, yeah, I think I don't think he should have been on TV last night. All right, boys. All right, girls, those are your hot takes for Monday Night Raw. See ya bye.
