Pat McAfee was the voice in Randy Orton’s head… and somehow, he might actually be RIGHT about WWE. BUT...fans are trashing the Pat McAfee twist after he was revealed as the voice behind Randy Orton… and honestly, it’s easy to see why.
Was this the right message with the wrong guy, or did WWE completely miss the mark? McAfee aligning with Orton and going after Cody Rhodes has people split, especially with Cody starting to crash out while the crowd turns on him.
Meanwhile, Sami Zayn feels like he’s getting closer and closer to a heel turn, Carmelo Hayes just got completely screwed out of the United States Championship, and Trick Williams continues to prove he’s on another level right now.
We’re officially on the road to WrestleMania, and things are getting chaotic fast.

Pat McAfee turned heel last night, betrayed Cody Rhodes, and was revealed to be the voice on the phone to Randy Orton. And it's like, why? Why? This this is such this is so weird. Pat McAfee actually aired out the grievances of the internet. Almost everything Pat McAfee said last night was like legit, but because it was Pat McAfee, nobody's hearing nothing of it. Everyone's like, This was so freaking random that it's like, what? What? It was like the anti-John Cena heel turn when John Cena turned heel out of nowhere and no one saw it coming, and we were all like, oh my god, this is amazing and awesome. And then he wanted to ruin wrestling. This is like, oh my god, nobody saw this coming, but this is lame and stupid. And now he wants to save wrestling? Triple H only knows how to go to one extreme or the other. Alright, so let's get into some hot takes after I tell you about this belt on my shoulder. You wanna win it? You can. All you gotta do is comment below and subscribe to the channel. At 20,000 subscribers, I'm gonna give it away on a live stream. And people, last night I said it was a toy and not a replica. Yeah, reverse that. This is a replica, not a toy. All right. Streams once a week says, bro, Pat was the guy? You gotta be kidding me. Subject 166 says, Randy Oren has lost all my support tonight. I've lost all interest in this match. Eric Shook says, Pat was the guy. Really? Dylan says, and then they bring in Pat McAfee. Are you serious? And Faroja says, Pat said everything us attitude era and ruthless aggression fans have been thinking. Pat McAfee, does it make sense to be the guy? But then he said a lot of things that didn't make sense. But why is that what Pat is saying part of this storyline? This storyline didn't need this element to it. It literally should have been mentor versus versus mentee. I loved everything Pat had to say, minus the 5'5 comment. Pat McAfee last night said something about why do I gotta see 45-minute Iron Man matches between guys who are 5'5? I don't care about your height, but I do, I don't like the long matches every week on SmackDown because they they substitute they substitute 45-minute matches or 30-minute matches every week so they don't have to write a better product. But that said, why Pat? Why Pat? Jimbo Slice said this in one of the comments that this could have been a modern day pipe bomb, but it was wasted on Pat McAfee. And I'm not a Pat McAfee hater. Straight up, I never hated Pat McAfee. Sometimes I feel like somebody could have made the better call on commentary, but I always, for the most part, enjoyed Pat McAfee. But I don't see why he is a part of this giving this message. On the plus side though, I will say that he is so untouchable that he can say anything he wants. If they allow him to continue saying these kind of things, that Triple H has to just bite his bite his tongue and like go with it because Pat McAfee, he can't get really fired like the other guys can because A, Pat McAfee is friends with everybody at top, and B, he just doesn't care that much because he has so much stuff going on. Pat McAfee could leave the world of wrestling and it wouldn't even hit hurt his bank account that much. In fact, he probably loses money by being a part of WWE than he does expanding his own brand, to tell you the truth. And in regards to the to the things that he was saying, the fact that he said it out loud, even that is a head scratcher because this story that they're telling right now has never really worked. Has never really worked. When you completely break the fourth wall of the business side of things, the creative side of things, it almost always does not go well. There's only one time I've ever seen it work. The times I have not seen it work was Vince Russo used to do it all the time. He used to say how how WCW sucked and just revealed everything, revealed everything to the TV audience. And it was like, what's going on here? Go look at his Bash at the Beach Hogan versus Jarrett match or JR. Jim Ross one time turned heel. He was a commentator that turned heel and brought brought fake diesel, fake razor Ramon, and he was just badmouthing the product, and that didn't work. In the late 2000s, Vince McMahon one time came out with the entire McMahon family and was basically telling the fans, hey, we're sorry the product sucks right now. Now, and then nothing happened. It's just weird, honestly, when they go too far, when they go too far in breaking that fourth wall. The only time it's ever worked was CM Punk. Honestly, when CM Punk actually did his pipe bomb, like he exposed a lot of things, but it worked because in the confines of the character, it worked within the CM Punk character. And I don't know, I don't know. I I feel this message would have just been better had it been someone else. Because, for real, as he talked, the more I listened and the more I got engaged. Nike fan says, just like Dan Housen came out of the box, people pooped all over it. Yet the Monday after Chamber, people became fans of the gimmick. Everyone hates Pat McAfee was the person on the phone, but I'm actually interested in it. So that is a fair statement. A lot of people did not like the Dan Housen reveal at Chamber. Within within one segment, everything was turned around. People loved Dan Housen. But let's be honest here, it was a letdown. And I don't even blame people for taking a dump right now on the product instantly and not trusting that Triple H is gonna follow through with this. And the reason why I say this is because of John Cena's heel turn. Literally, John Cena was retiring and it was the easiest, it was the easiest storyline in the world to book John Cena. And yet they flipped him. They flipped him, they turned up heel. It's like, all right, guys, let's wait and see what happens. And then what does he do? Three days before before his match at SummerSlam, he's like, ah, shuck, guys. I don't want to ruin wrestling. I was just having a bad day. Like, so I I fully understand why Triple H no longer has the trust of people. I was a let Papa H cook guy since Netflix, and I'm not blaming Netflix, but I can pinpoint it to sense Netflix. I have seen Triple H's storytelling just decline and fall off a cliff. So I don't I don't blame people for for just instantly jumping to the yeah, this is gonna suck conclusion. Prove us wrong. Prove us wrong. If anything, Dan Housen should show that that the wrestling fan is willing to admit that they're wrong. They're willing to say, hey, you know what? I crapped. Yes, maybe I crapped on the Dan Housen's first appearance, but like you show me some good character work or good storytelling, I'm willing to admit that, okay, fine, whatever. I love this guy now. Sky wonder wonder Wonder Wolf says Pat spoke facts, but it should have been The Rock or someone just as big as The Rock. And Russell Don says, we shouldn't be surprised that the reveal was such a letdown. WWE has done this before, teasing The Rock, Paul Heyman being involved with Solo's bloodline without having any intentions of following through. Of course, now they will say that it was the fans' fault for getting their hopes up, even though they are the ones that stirred the pot. Yeah, Triple H does love to gaslight us. They should have just had it like one day where Andy Orton, after he had crashed out, he just opens the door and you see Pat McAfee there with a bunch of suits, a bunch of people in suits and stuff. And then it's like we don't know what Pat McAfee says to Randy Orton. Instead of trying to make it a surprise, just show us instantly that it was Pat McAfee. That way we don't get we don't start going off and tangents thinking, oh, is it Vince McMahon? Is it is it this person? Is it that person? And then and then we could just do everything the same. Although even that still like is overcomplicated. It should have just been about the title. It should have just been about their history. Like they haven't even brought up, they have barely touched upon their history right now. This this is the feud that was supposed to be worth the wait for Cody Rhodes. This was the feud that when when when Cody Rhodes got out of out of beating the tribal chief, and it was like, why is he fighting AJ Styles right now and not Randy Orton? Everybody was like, just hold up and see, hold up and wait, hold up and wait, don't worry, that's coming. We can't rush to that. This is what we were waiting for. We were waiting for for RKOs to jelly roll and for nut shots from Pat McAfee. This is the feud, this is the promised feud of Cody and Randy Orton. No, this was such an easy story to tell. And yet, and yet, I love what Pat had to say for the most part. Wrong messenger, right message, wrong feud for this to be in. But we're the problem. Your of House de Gas says this was a vain attempt to get the IWC interested in making Pat the avatar of the complaints of the product, hoping that it now shows, oh, so they hear us now and they're pivoting. Yeah, you know what? It kind of worked though. It kind of worked because I am, I am like, there's a part of me that is happy that these that these complaints are are heard. And so now I will never believe that Triple H doesn't hear our complaints and he only listens to the audience in the arena because Triple H loves to say it's only the butts in the seats that matter, but no, now I know for a fact, based on what Pat McAfee said, that we are being heard, and it's like I'm not saying we should crash out all the time for crash out's sake, but I am saying that it is important for the internet community to voice our opinions in a very respectful way. But when I say respectful, it doesn't mean you can't air out grievances. Like I try to do that on this channel. I try to be like, yes, this is awesome and amazing, but hey, you know what? This sucked. It's not, you don't just glaze to glaze and you don't just crash out to crash out. I wish I could do that though. I think the channel would be more of a success. I see some, I see some crash out channels, and I'm like, man, I wish I had those views. Tiz Mickey says, I'm sorry, but I did not care about the promo Cody cut later in the night. Like, shouldn't he have been in the back writhing in pain? I mean, yeah, two weeks ago, a chair shot literally took him out for an entire week. But tonight, none of that mattered. And also, like, why two weeks ago, last week, a million security guards trying to break up the fight, but this week they just stand on the outside. Why? Because Pat McAfee has to cut a promo. They should really play up the fact that that Pat McAfee is like friends with the head of TKO because they can like they can use that as kind of like a power trip thing. But you're right, why why did Cody come out? And Cody, gosh, he says some of the he can say he can do a good promo, but he says some of the lamest things. He's like, color me surprised. Color me surprised? Who says that? Suffering succotash, Cody. Who says color me surprised? It's like Cody, Cody. I want to root for you, dude. I want to root for you, but I don't know. Pat Pat McAfee, Pat McAfee has a point. Like, the product sucks under you. Goat Buggy says, I think everybody wanted to be Ted D.B. Jr. or Bob Orton on the phone with Randy, and I just hate the fact that it was Pat McAfee of all the wrestlers. Yeah, they could have they should have gave it to another wrestler. Remember when I said that this only worked with CM Punk back in the day? Why not, why not use this to create some money? That that CM Punk promo from back in the day that aired out all the grievances, that promo, while Punk was a like he was a main event guy and had even won championships, he was like a B list, a B list main eventor. But that pipe bomb made him an A-list main eventor, and that's what we could have done tonight. We could have gave it to someone else to make them an A-list main eventor. And maybe that that should have that promo should have just been on its own, not part of the Cody Randy storyline. But yeah, I think such a great promo. But Pat McAfee was the wrong guy. TTJC says if Rio was booked to win, they should have just ended the match with a DQ that have EO come out. Don't keep burying meet him. This feud, this feud is just this feud is just so bad. This feud is so bad that the only interesting developments either have been on Twitter when it wasn't when it wasn't supposed to be part of the storyline, or when they add a friend. There's no chemistry whatsoever between Jade and Rhea. Jimbo Slice says little Yachty and Trick Williams actually have immaculate chemistry. Yachty didn't overstep his role, he kept the attention on Trick. That's a celebrity inclusion done right. I agree with this statement. Little Yachty added to the presentation of Trick Williams. The problem is there's just there's just way too much going on. You got iShow Speed, you got Jelly Roll, you got Pat McAfee, you got little Yachty. It's like, okay. I mean, even Logan Paul, like, I think people still consider him more of a YouTube celebrity than not. There's just like, I get it. Celebrities have always been a thing. Celebrities have always been a thing in wrestling, but it's like maybe a little, maybe a little overdone. Mr. Pete says, remember when Carmelo Hayes was a first-round draft pick in WWE's draft just two years ago? Man, man. This was another story that had just an easy layup where they could have just they could have just kept the belt on Melo, had Trick win it from Mellow, and then have them have a rematch at WrestleMania. Or just make it a triple threat. If Sammy had to be a part of this, just make it a triple threat. Because I am enjoying the Sammy Trick feud, but it's like I don't feel we needed to like completely just forget about Melo. Noah Takach says, as much as I dislike Sammy, at least he is committing to this darker, to this darker do whatever it takes version of himself. I wish it didn't come at the expense of Carmelo's championship reign. Yes, I'm actually I actually like heel Sammy. So the fact that Sammy did this, it's kind of like I am my interest as peak again in Sammy Zayn. And I think it will lead, I think, I think we're definitely getting the double turn now at Mania. The final wagon says Pat McAfee being chosen by Ariel Manuel, that's the the head of TKO, to become the new cornerstone of WWE programming, is already proving to maybe be the worst decision they could have possibly had. Okay, so like Ariel Manuel has said that he thinks Pat McAfee could be as big as like Sylvester Sallone in the past and trying to get him movie deals and all this stuff. And the rumor actually is that this is a TKO decision to insert Pat McAfee into this to boost sales of WrestleMania. And so a lot of people are gonna probably give Triple H a pass on this. Now I'm gonna say Ariel Manuel's decision, bad decision, putting making Pat McAfee get involved in this storyline. However, I am also gonna say that this is still fault on Triple H. The fact is, it does feel like that TKO has pretty much had a hands-off, a hands-off approach to WWE until recently. If Triple H had been writing better stories, had been writing better stories, then then TKO probably never would have got involved. I know that I, as a GM of a restaurant, I have told my employees, hey, if if we're making money, if if everybody is happy, the work staff and the customers, food product is good and meeting safety measures, then I'm gonna be the most hands-off boss, chill boss you've ever seen in your life. But when I start hearing complaints, be it staff or customers, when I start thinking that the product is lacking in in quality or safety, then you're gonna be seeing way more of me and hearing way more of me. Until that trust is broken, you guys can do and and run the show yourself. And and I mean, I'm there and everything, but I'm just saying I take a very hands-off approach. And that's what TKO has done. But Triple H has given us bad TV, bad TV, and it slowly, slowly got to a point where TKO had to step in and be like, all right, all right, time for us to make some decisions. Their decisions are bad, but make no mistake about it, Triple H got us here. Gracie Wood says, Stealing Sammy did it again. He went from one of my favorite wrestlers to one of my least favorites. Now, the question is this is he one of your least favorites as a heel that you hate and you want someone to beat up, or is he one of your least favorites in that you're like, oh my god, this guy just does backstage politics. I'm turning off the TV because that does make a difference. Because I think by the end of this storyline, we are supposed to just be like, I hate Sammy and I just want to see him get beat, which is the goal. You want heels that you hate that you want to see get beat. But, but the fact that Carmelo Hayes has been taken out of the WrestleMania equation, that makes me upset as as that makes me actually upset at Sami Zayn the wrestler. It's OTW, no mellow at Mania, Ruthless Depression. Ron Talks Tabletop says, I think McDafee is in the rock aerial Emmanuel camp, and this is a reflection of how the rock thinks. Ooh, ooh, that would be interesting. That'd be interesting. So this isn't even storyline you're saying, but this is like a power play from The Rock. And honestly, The Rock could do it. I don't know. What if? What if? Because make no mistake about it, everything that that Pat McAfee said yesterday was a burial of Cody Rhodes, but it was also a burial of creative. If his title range sucks, it's because his creative sucks. And who's head of creative? Triple H. So what if Rock, who knows he can't be there, sent in sent in Pat McAfee to do it. And this is Ariel and The Rock's way of embarrassing Triple H because what did I say earlier? Pat McAfee, he's a little, he's kind of sort of untouchable. He could say these things and get away with it, and Triple H can't do nothing about it. That's a really interesting thought process. Still think it was the wrong messenger, but the right message. This this whole this whole reveal is just weird. This whole reveal is just weird. All right, boys, all right, girls. See ya bye.
